It seems to take at least a couple of weeks for most people to see diminishing of the side effects of just about any anti-depressant. I encourage you to hang in there.

Will this go away with time, or do I need to go back to effexor. my greatest fear is the adverse reactions of medication that deal with my stomach. I use to take tofranil and it was great on my stomach. I coud eat breakfast, and anything I wanted. I also feel a good bit of fog in my head, and anxiety.

Hi,I took effexor for about two years. When I stopped taking it , I had a difficult time. Sick, weird head twitches and many other s/e. It took several months for all that to go away. I slowly tapered off of it too so I bet that the way you are feeling is due to the effexor. I would suggest that you stay with the lexapro and give it some time. I know its hard when you feel like crap, but you would probably feel that way if you went back on the effexor.
good luck and let us know,
