In reply to Switched:Celexa to Lexapro. Can I lose weight now?, posted by heather66 on November 11, 2002, at 19:41:13
> Please help anybody. I gained 25 pounds over the last 12 months - and it is from the Celexa. My pdoc switched me to Lexapro two weeks ago because he said there are less side effects with Lexapro. How do I go about losing the weight now? Think it is possible on Lexapro? I wish the 25 lbs. would just fall off. I hope I do not continue to gain weight. Any comments?
Heather,
Doc put me on Lex 7 weeks ago (First time on Anti Depressant) and for a few weeks I could'nt get enough sweets, candy bars, cookies, cake. I never have had a real sweet tooth either. And then, the cravings just went away. I might have gained 2 Lbs but I need to put on a few pounds anyway. I'm a pretty small guy. But the lexapro is working great for me. All side effects are near gone except sexual, but that's getting better too.
Good Luck
Wharf
