That's very astute Alan; i think i agree with
most of what you say. I have said it before
that benzos if prescribed correctly and
appropriately, are efficacious and safe--but
i think that has not been done in so many
cases.

Also, the augmentation of a benzo with an AD
which creates anxiety is a good idea, but then
you must choose the right one, and you must
monitor the co-existence of the two drugs.

Infact, you could argue that many PROZAC and other
SSRI cases were tragic because of the lack
of an addiction of a tranquillizing drug, like
a benzo.
