Adderall works, but the l-isomer is where I get the attentive properties, the d-isomer doesn't work for *that*. However, the l-isomer causes *more* anxiety than Focalin did, so with this complex logic we are going with some form of XR Ritalin.

Dexedrine plain made makes me a little calm, keeps me up, but doesn't actually keep me more focused... although I tend to write longer papers, I don't notice the same eagerness-attentiveness that keeps me on track with my classwork Adderall or Ritalin gives me.

Adderall makes me even more anxious, but also works... only in that rougher, "remember-I'm-an-amphetamine-still" kinda way- blood pressure goes up a bit, heart goes up a bit, but not worthy enough of a stim. AndI'm anxious like crazy on it.

>Hey, that's interesting! I took the Ritalin LA (just 10mg) today for the first time (immediately before going to work-midday). It felt *much less* anxiety-provoking than 5mg of Adderall (which is about what it is equivalent to). It did seem to kickin rather quickly and there was a lull (sure enough right about lunchtime 3-4hrs later), so I took the opportunity to get a sandwich and some juice and take an Omega-3. Then when I got back to work the "2nd kickin" took place, but it only lasted about 2-3 additional hours. I felt a significant dropoff about two hours before I got off work (about 7hrs post-dosing). I was in the middle of trying to learn a programming language and I starting getting lost and re-reading stuff multiple times and just had to stop.
Anyhow, the next thing I want to find out is how much does #30 Ritalin-LA 20mg vs #30 Concerta 18mg cost?? If I can take the Concerta first thing in the morning (or midday) and not have trouble sleeping, I would rather go with the Concerta. With the Ritalin-LA I feel like I need to take half a 20mg capsule midday, and then take the other half about 5 hrs later.
I am also ramping up my Wellbutrin. This is an experiment to see if it will work on ADHD without triggering cycling. I am up to 150mg/day now and I feel like I haven't really taken anything. FWIW, Effexor and SSRI's upset my stomach, I haven't had any stomach troubles with stims or WB.
