> I took about 60 mg of nardil for years and was high as a kite - best years of my life. That effect began to wear off; the side-effects worsened and the drug lost its efficacy. I know take Parnate and experience some relief from social anxiety but none of the euphoria. It is a "gift" as a prior poster said if it comes from within and sheds inhibition to bring up a newer and/or truer self. I think that was largely the case for me. phil.
Phil,
My experience with Nardil is virtually identical to yours, however the time frame was compressed to six months from start to finish, not years as was your experience. I tried it again some 3+ years later and I did not experience the euphoria and freedom from inhibitions that I originally had. Those six months were the absolute greatest of my life. Unfortunately, I tried just about ever other medication out there and nothing came close to the efficacy of Nardil
Lately, some fifteen years after my original experience with Nardil, I've thought about giving it a shot again and perhaps supplementing with another agent. I just don't know with what at this point.
