Tubal ligation and mood

I've heard stories that tubal ligation can cause mood instability (and I don't need more of that). I tend to think that it is an urban legend. My gynecologist thinks it's hogwash. But there is a little part of me that worries that it might be one of those things that doctors don't know about (like SSRI sexual side effects were for a long time).
Have any of you had your tubes tied? Was there a negative effect on your moods?
