Hi all:
Well, I've officially changed my adderall intake from 10mg XR, which wasn't doing me a bit of good, to 25mg IR tid(10mg+10mg+5mg). I've done this of my own accord, since my pdoc's on vacation and I've been seeing him for so many years that he always agrees with my suggestions for alterations in my med regime. The question of tolerance and addiction came to mind, as I did increase the dose, but then I realized that it's now helping me much more with my SP and my focus/drive. My main question has to do with combining this amount of adderall with zoloft. My pdoc's last directions for me before he left was to titrate the zoloft from 75mg to 100mg because of remaining SP and excessive worrying. I'm following his instructions, yet I find that my new adderall dose has done wonders for my daily functioning. So, my question is: is 100mg zoloft + 25mg adderall a dangerous combined dose level? I was under the impression that only the zoloft is seratonergic and the adderall works on DA and NE, but I recently found an article stating the seratonergic effect of amphetamines. I'm thus fearful of seratonin syndrome or something like that. Is it ok to be on this high a dose of both drugs simultaneously?
