In reply to Heat wave, smelly pills, posted by utopizen on August 17, 2002, at 12:03:18
I have Serzone and Sonata in my room, which gets about 10 hours of air conditioning each night. For the other 14 hours, it's hot. I have never smelled my pills to see if they were okay, but from the way you describe it, if I had smelly pills, I'd have smelled them by now!
I have never worried about it before except when I go camping, at which time I put them in the cooler. But a car is much hotter than a room.
I have wondered about my pills in this heat wave. (We've been near 100 for most of three weeks.) My situation has been the same, though, for three years. It's hot in the summer in Baltimore, but my pills always seem to work. (Hell, it's hot in the fall and spring in Baltimore, too!)
I hope someone else answers! If not, ask the pharmacy--any pharmacist will be able to answer your question.
