The irritability is a normal side affect, it usually lasts about 3 weeks. Not sure what causes it but I sure know how it feels going through it. I was super nasty and mean for the first three weeks on Rem. I increased from 15 mg to 30 mg after two weeks. One week after that the irritability was gone. Hope this helps.
