Dear Bubblegumchewer,

The incidence which took place in your life after taking clonazepam three times a day is not amazing to me. Because I know what you were experiencing at that time was not merely panic attacks but panic with depression, which a tricyclic antidepressant solved effectively. I have gone through a similar kind of experience in my life. That time the offending drug was librium and what helped me at the time was tryptizol. I too tried to increase the dose of librium but with no effect. Tryptizol was the last resort. Benzos cannot be blamed for this. "Fault dear brutus is not in our stars but in ourselves"
That is if you have pre-existing depression, you should treat it first and only after overcoming depression you can effectively stabilize on a stabilizing benzo like clonazepam.
Whether it is an AD or a Benzo. There are a lot of drawbacks to all this kind of medicines. But now the trend is to popularise ADs as safe and defame Benzos as addictive and unsafe. I am against this practice. It is not fair. All drugs have potentially serious adverse effects. But I still believe benzos are much safer than older and newer ADs
