... my doc says it's possible to suffer from things like feeling cold all the time without having a thyroid disorder...
the fact that my T4 came back okay seems to confirm that... i am just suspicious because i suffer from most of the physical symptoms...
>minutes. Do this for 4 days and average the scores. Anything below 97.5 degrees is suspicious. The fact that you're always chilly, how frequent is it for hypothyroid people to show up on this test??

... is it possible for your thyroid to swing between hyper and hypo? .. because sometimes i feel too hot (and perspire like crazy) and i also tend to switch between depression and hypomania at times (though i suppose this is just situational)
>a let's see test, 5 weeks ago I started increasing my thyroid dose and within 1 week I was feeling amazingly better. If you've been constipated, you know of what I speak. You just have to trust your body's wisdom. Please let me know what you find out. - BarbaraCati can't believe i actually used to take metamucil twice a day when i could just have taken a flax seed oil capsule (omega 3 may be useful for bipolar, maybe not, but should help with cholesterol at least) or a fiber capsule... Ugg!! ... why do people bother with that stuff that tastes so yucky and always ends up sticking to the bottom of your cup?? :(
so i'm curious barbaracat ... why made your doc eventually suspect thyroid problems ... and does it relieve anxiety at all?
thanks again for your informative response :)oh btw i am doing a lot better on an MAOI so my doc wants to let this take full effect before starting another med, which is probably a very wise thing to do....
