DRY MOUTH CAUSED BY MEDICATION. . .

Posted by DiscoPuppy on June 28, 2002, at 17:26:07

psychostimulants, to be more specific. I have this HORRIBLE problem of dry DRY mouth on Adderall and don't know what to do about it. It's not only dry mouth but this icky, yukkie taste in it too. I drink at 128 ounces of water EVERY day, so it can't be a dehydration issue.

Chewing gum and sucking on some candy is not always practical or professional when I'm at work. Can you think of ANYTHING I can do to help this very annoying situation?

ALSO, as long as I'm on the subject, anyone know whether drinking that much water (128 ounces a day), can "flush" out my medication quicker, thus reducing its effectiveness?

Thanks in advance for your help!
