update and question...

In reply to lactation and menstrual disruption on meds, posted by Lia Mason on June 17, 2002, at 22:52:40

So, my pdoc thinks it's imipramine causing me to lactate and that in turn is messing up my period. This is a big problem. I take imipramine for vulvodynia (chronic vaginal pain) and the thought of going off it terrifies me. I'll reduce dosage first. Is there any med I could add to stop the lactation that would enable me to keep the imipramine? It need not be a permanent solution. I'm told the vulvodynia--if treated--should resolve in 6-12 months.

Thanks for listening.

Lia
