I have been on Remeron for 6 months and haven't gained a pound on it. First antidepressant I have ever taken that hasn't caused me weight gain. I was on Amitryptoline (sp) for two years prior and gained 40 lbs. Before that, it was Sinequan, Anafranil, Prozac, Paxil and Effexor, all caused significant weight gain. As for sexual side affects, it's hasn't affected mine at all, infact, it's nice to finally have a sex drive back again after not having one for many years due to the other antidepressants. Hope this helps.
