Because they think it means another grave dx, another burden--who wants to but whenever I see those three terms together. .. or read of "weird" spells connected with migraine, I think of TLE, or at least temporal lobe seizure acitivity. . .which feels, subjectively, like dissociation. . and a great many other sensations, like dizziness.
Temporal lobe activity is so closely bound with migraine, bipolar, ADD. . .I don't see why not to other disorders, or perhaps it lurks under other dxs. At any rate, Neurontin and Lamictal both relieve them, along with doing other good things. . .
But I think the main thing is not to confuse this with dissociation, and perhaps get on another med that ends up not helping.
