Wow Squiggles, that was some story. Thanks for sharing.
A couple of thoughts I have about K. It is often used as an adjunct for people with seizure problems, although it has a tendancy to lose it's effectiveness in a few months for some people, so it's not used as much as it used to be when seizures are involved. If I recall correctly, K was originally developed as an anti-seizure med.
My other thought was that you mentioned it was a very hot day when you mentioned the possibility of having a stroke. I'm too lazy to look up the info on K and lithium, but with many drugs, and don't quote me on this with respect to K and lithium, being in hot environments can cause strange side effects. But somewhere in the back of my head I seem to recall that I read that if you are taking one or the other, to use caution on hot days.
That being said, I realize that for some of us, many of these drugs may need to be taken for life. With all the trouble you had trying to withdraw from K, I would do the same thing you have chosen to do. Get back on it and live to fight another day. Thanks again for your insights.
