Hi Bekka I've taken cylert for several years the liver tests are no big deal everyone has been just fine. Cylert I'd rate about a 2 or 3 on a scale of 10 it sometimes provides a minor lift in energy but many times it makes me drowsy and isn't worth dirt. Actually ritalin wasn't much better, but the ritalin was considerably easier to tolerate, cylert can cause an awful lot of tension and discomfort many times. Dexedrine far outclassed ritalin and cylert simply is a placebo compared to dexedrine. Cylert does have one advantage though can't say I've ever experienced even the slightest crash or letdown on it, unless I hadn't taken it for at least a couple of days. On the otherhand if you think you can take cylert and a 1/2 hr. to 45 minutes latter you're going to feel a sense of energy it just isn't likely to happen. It has a very mild stimulant action and you kind of have to already be up and going for it to work. Taking it before noon almost always makes me ache to lay back down, latter in day perhaps it might provide a mild boost......................................................................I've taken the last few yrs. with parnate and effexor and prozac.
