John, i actually dont use ghb. I use gbl. Its the chemcial percursor to ghb. Yes its still addictive or even more as ghb. It hits you quicker, like doing a shot, opposed to a beer.
GHB is still very misunderstood. Claud Raffit, a french scientist (very smart man) did expensive studies on ghb in europe along with Dr. hendry Laborit. Ward Dean, author of the book ghb, the nautural mood enhancer, got most of his info from these guys.
I call ghb the most wonderful/evil sustance. Why? because for me and most addicts, there is nothing out there, no drug, illegal or legal, that makes you happy and outgoing as ghb. Like i mean i could be ready to commit suicide or catch my wife (if i had one) with another guy, take a dose and 20min later, be happy! no ifs ands or buts.
Yes if you over due your dose, it can cause all types of side effects, from twiching, ghb lowers siezure threashold due to dopamine function. Jaw tention and teeth grinding sometimes happens. But Claud raffit advised to take a low dose of clonazipam .5-1mg to negate the side effects and it works, do to its aniconvusant properties and highering of the seizure threshold. I take .5mg when i use ghb. 1mg is a big to high and sedation overrules.

Yes ghb enhances binding of gaba-b chloride channels. Yes arent they similar causing the antianxiety effect?

The bad thing about ghb is the steep response curve. 2g makes you fine 3 may cause you to fall asleep. Never mix with alchol, i found out the hard way after smashing cars and ging out all over the place. maybe 1 or 2 beers TOPS. But alchol makes me so depressed, its not funny. Esp with all the meds i take, it somehow interacts and i feel like hell.

I coming to a conlusion, the lower of dopamine by ghb, along with gaba b enhancement binding, causes the antianxiety antiparinoia effect.

By the way, define seratonin turnover? does this mean more seratonin is released into the synapse?

thanks
geno
