Hello all,
If someone is having severe PTSD symptamology, consisting mostly of preoccupation, overwhelming emotional experiences, uncontrollable public sobbing, and hard memories, plus (necessary?)rehearsals of future death-bed reconciliations w/ estranged family members, including convulsive sobbing, and this is new, not a way of life, but a breakthrough, and there are no nightmares or terrors or dissociative symptoms like before, is it ok then to go through this w/out adding a PTSD medication?
I'm just not sure what my p-doc will say when he hears about all this, he's very into emotional stability (he won't okay my doing EMDR therapy yet, but will when it's time). My psychologist, who he respects might take my side on this, I'm just wondering what my side is, obviously don't know much about PTSD but it feels right to let this business finally run its course so I can get rid of it once and for all.
Any opinions heartily appreciated!
thanks,
trouble
