I started feeling an antidepressant effect at 150, but my pdoc raised the dose b/c I was still experiencing depression associated with PMS. 225 really leveled me out. Flattened is a better term...

Didn't really have any side effects from the Effexor until I went off of it the first time around. I switched directly from Celexa to Effexor the first time. Was off Effexor for 6 months and had another major depressive episode, so my pdoc started me back on (75 - 3 days, 150 - 3 days, 225). That time around I had terrible nervousness, mild tremor, nausea, irritability. And had NO antidepressant effect after about 2 weeks. I was severely suicidal, so switched to Paxil (which didn't work either, but that's another story).

I didn't. I was taking XR, so I just took 225 in the morning.> Let me know something about.

Best of luck.
