First, love your screen name...Second, did your pdoc give you no guidelines? I would say you should judge by how you feel. If you've been on 75 for a week, you can probably go up to 150 now. The last time I took effexor, my pdoc pushed me up to 225 fast. I was on 75 for three days, 150 for three days and then 225. But I didn't tolerate it well - it made me very shaky(even though I had taken it for a year before and tolerated it fine).
However, do you even know if you'll need to be pushed up to 225? How are you feeling on 75? You need to give most ADs at least 2 weeks after first starting them to really see if you'll need to raise the dosage.
I recommend that you get more details from your pdoc...
