Klonopin and Clonazepam are exactly the samething. Clonazepam is the chemical or scientific name for Klonopin. Like salicylic acid and aspirin are the samething- of which the original source came from the pussy willow tree and the meadowsweet herb. But when you purchase "acetyl salicylic acid" from the store it is not labeled that way, and neither is it labeled "black willow bark or meadowsweet herb", but instead it is labeled "aspirin"- it's easier to say and to understand. Just like we are literally called, "homosapiens", but hardly anyone calls each other that when talking, but instead we use the word "person, or man, or woman". Registered Name Brands and Trade Marks usually cost more then the cheaper generic brands, but that's just because you're paying for the companies brand name, but the chemical ingredients and substance should be the same. Ask the pharmacist to compare the ingredients of both, and if they are the same, then i would buy the cheaper generic one.
