geno:
I noticed your post about Gabril (sp?), and I too wondered if you meant Gabitril. I'm also on that--just started with 4 mg.--as a replacement for Serzone, which I am slowly tapering. I have insomnia only. Anyway, your post unnerved me--numb face and tongue? Then I saw this post and realized you're taking a lot of medications--Paxil, Xanix, Remeron, Gabritril.
As is evidenced by this web site, everyone's body is different, and everyone seems to be taking so many different chemical combos that it's hard to determine the culprit when symptoms like yours happen. I was rescued from insomnia by Serzone, yet others find no relief. I take Sonata when I'm having a bad night, and I'm out like a light; others get hopped up on the stuff.
So I'm trying to put it into perspective. I hope we aren't all discouraged when we hear about bad reactions. (One man's trash is another man's treasure; one man's meat is another man's poison--or person!)
I am new here and trying not to be frightened of what may be in store for me. I don't want to wake up in a panic with a numb face. I already have enough trouble sleeping! I think I might not have been as upset with the Gabitril post had I known you were also on all that other stuff. I'm sorry for your bad reaction and hope you are able to get some relief.
