Hi John,

Have you ever had "pure" episodes of hypomania where you felt on top of the world for little reason-get chatty-have trouble sleeping for several days running? Also, if you get that type of reaction from taking certain antidepressants, that is somewhat tell-tale. If you experience some agitation and mild thought disturbance while depressed doesn't necessarily mean you are bipolar. However, there are some unipolar depressives who benefit from adjunctive mood stabilizers-lithium, Lamictal, Neurontin, i.e.
