Yup, the dosages were exactly the same (20mg).I thought at first that perhaps I had reacted so differently because I had tried them at different stages of my illness. In other words, perhaps I responded far better to prozac recently than when I had when I tried the generic over a year ago, when I was severely ill.I'd not reacted well to ssri's as a rule.To my surprise though, it (prozac) worked quite well and was actually fairly pleasant to take with Sam-e.I only tried it for a short while as I bought it whilst on holiday. Then I returned to the UK and found an old strip of the generic, and gave one a try, expecting the same response.
As I said, it was quite differnet.I'm not suggesting at all that the quality/purity was poor, as my doc has had many patients respond very well to it.But there's no doubt that they achieved very different responses in me personally-I couldn't hazard a guess as to why.I'll definitely look in to the possibility of trying another manufacturer though.
