I don't know if the original is available in the UK but I am really surprised to hear that you reacted differently to the generic. In the US, the FDA is supposed to make sure that the generic drugs are good in quality.
If I were you, I would ask your pharmacist if there is more than one company making the generic form. If there is, find out which one you have and request a different manufacturer's fluoxetine.
When you took Prozac, was it the same dose as your current fluoxetine?
