In reply to Whats normal blood pressure??, posted by NikkiT2 on February 20, 2002, at 5:39:12
Hi Nikki,
I agree with everyone else. All "normal" readings are dependent on many things-age, weight, physical condition, etc. I don't believe the difficulty in finding a vein has anything to do with pressure - sometimes veins "roll" when you try to stick them. Dizziness when standing up suddenly is called orthostatic hypotension (SP?-when due to blood pressure change - nothing to worry about unless doc says so). Some drugs cause this dizziness if you stand up quickly. I started Remeron recently and have this dizziness when I stand quickly or move my head side-to-side quickly. This sensation is not related to blood pressure and will subside soon - just a common side effect. Are you taking any meds?
Very best wishesGeezer
