Are you comfortable speaking with your GP? If not right it down in a letter form or point form, your concerns. Bring this in to the doc, it helps with the communication process. You can list your thoughts re meds, doc/patient relationship, etc. Most docs are in the dark because we don't always articulate our thoughts. And ask questions till you get an answer you understand!
"I'm 19, so I don't know if I'm taken too seriously."I'm sure you are taken seriously, but there probably is a generation lingo gap. Looking back now, I realize that the older we get the more naive youth look, which doesn't mean that their ignornant just that it makes it harder to get things through our aged minds. :^)
"I just don't want to be naive about him and put blind faith in him only to find out he's not a good guy."
Most docs are there because they have a genuine interest in helping people.
Hang in there, Chin Up!
