I hope I didn't come across as unsupportive. If I did, my apologises - I only wrote from my experience.
Even good people have told lies - if we never did, or even exaggerate purposely, we'd be perfect & who is? Explaining to your doctor that you'd lied about your meds is the most honest thing to do. When I ever found that someone had confessed they'd lied over something, it was over as far as I was concerned (not the trust or relationship but the incident). I never thought about it anymore. It should take a ongoing pattern of lies & deception to break trust. Surely, your doctors will see it as a sincere cry for help & not hold it against you. I never would in their place. Admitting you crave it during the day to zone out is indicative of an addiction.
We are behind you, Dona. Forgive us the silly squabbling. I, for one, just would like to hear that you're getting better by whatever means you choose.
