I don't know about long-term use and alcohol, but I asked my doctor if I could have a couple of light beers in the evening. (I happen to drink light beer, I don't know if the alcohol content is different from regular beer). He said to try to keep it to one. I don't actually drink every day, but with all the negatives created by the drugs I take I feel I'm entitled to something. I'm taking a TCA, a benzo and an SSRI, among other things.
