In reply to Questions for Cruz (and others) on Ketoconazole, posted by Cecilia on September 10, 2001, at 3:41:46
Hi. I'm posting this as a follow up to a discussion on the use of Tianeptine or Ketoconazole for correcting corticosteroid elevation associated with depression. Cruz, I saw one of your old posts on your success with Ketoconazole. Can you tell me how it helped you? I heard that Ketoconazole is quite toxic, so I have been very worried about that. In fact, several years ago, a dermatologist chose NOT to prescribe it for me for a toe nail fungus because of its systemic toxicity. She gave me a topical form of it and told me to use it only every other day.
I am currently trying Tianeptine for my depression and severely elevated corticosteroid levels. I've been on it only a few days, so I can't make up my mind yet, but I'm interested to hear about your experiences with Tianeptine and Ketoconazole. Thank you.
