Trileptal made me extremely depressed. It kept getting worse, and my moods would cycle horribly with each
dose. I'd start to feel better (and sleepy) about 10-11 hrs after my dose, then I would crash into suicidal, agitated depression two hours after my next dose. It has been 24 hrs now since my last dose and I am starting to feel somewhat normal again. Bloody stool is something that I, *personally*, would be on the phone with the doctor about ASAP (but, then again, I can be a hypochondriac; I get a headache and automatically assume it's a tumor).Good luck to you and your son,
MB/////I'm keeping a pretty close watch - I thought the Dilantin, aside from making him sleepy, brought out an aura of anger. The Trileptal doesn't seem to make him as sleepy, but now I'm beginning to wonder about him being more emotional. We'll see. Are you still taking Trileptal??? I couldn't tell - but if so, guess I'd wonder why! Doesn't exactly sound as though it agree with you. As for the other problem, he picked up a "test kit" and now I'll just hope he follows through with that. Thank you for your concern.
