Trileptal made me extremely depressed. It kept getting worse, and my moods would cycle horribly with each dose. I'd start to feel better (and sleepy) about 10-11 hrs after my dose, then I would crash into suicidal, agitated depression two hours after my next dose. It has been 24 hrs now since my last dose and I am starting to feel somewhat normal again. Bloody stool is something that I, *personally*, would be on the phone with the doctor about ASAP (but, then again, I can be a hypochondriac; I get a headache and automatically assume it's a tumor).Good luck to you and your son,
