I like your comments. I don't know if you're BP2, or not, but this is what I've been thinking lately.
HOWEVER, sometimes when you're manic, you have no idea that you are (you're acting manic, but just can't see it). So a mood stabilizer can be a good idea b/c it helps you fairly consistently. You have to be aware of your mania to take a benzo to calm you down.
I Think I'm getting to that point myself, but I don't want to fool myself either.
