> HeLLo... Im back. I have posted here many many many times before [xxx] but changed my username. I have been trying to get help for my panic/anxiety attacks for a long time but cant get any help! I am very sensitive to SSRI's . I have tried Paxil {horrible}, Zoloft, etc... it made my panic attacks so severe i went to the ER 3 times! I couldnt sleep. Lately i havent really been having panic attacks.. I dont know how to explain it. It is more like anxiety attack. It happens when i try to go to sleep. My heart starts racing and my mind wont stop THINKING. It wont shut up. My eyes start fluttering.... but ill be miserably tired and weak and sleepy!!!! BUT my heart wont slow da fuk down. SO I occasionally take a little tiny tiny piece of remeron to KNOCK ME OUT. Xanax wont even put me to sleep. Remeron is the only drug that Puts me to sleep whenever im having anxiety attacks. I have a couple "trial" packs of Celexa and im thinking if trying it. But im scared. I hate SSRIs....its horrible. Can somebody give me advice please... should i try Celexa? Is it going to gove me the same side effects as did the pAXIL AND ZOLOFT? its basically the same stuff right? I have a prescription for BuSpar but never got it filled. No $$$.... but maybe I should just fill the BuSpar??? Please help me... i dont know what to do. I cant live my life feeling like this everyday. I cant sleep at night... i cant wake up in the morning... when i AM awake... i feel like crap... when im sleeping im tossing and turning. I need all facts and experiences from Celexa and BuSpar Thanks. By the way... I am a 21 F in Florida. *Cynthia*
If you can get a small dose of an SRI, with a good dose of a benzo, you might be able to tolerate the meds better. Those with anxiety as a predominant symptom have a very hard time with antidepressants. I don't know about the Buspar...it still seems to come nowhere near effectiveness to benzos for anxiety.
ALthough, I am from Canada, and I find more doctors have no problem prescribing a benzo along with an antidepressant here. Maybe it's just a U.S. thing, as your doctors have to fill out forms and submit them to a rediculous government agency.
Try to find a doc who will help you give it a shot, as I know many with anxiety problems who have been greatly helped over many years with a benzo/a.d. combo.
Best wishes...
