Methaqualone (Quaalude) - Barbituate like drug moved to schedule 1 in the 80's because it was very popular for getting high.

Sodium naproxen (Aleve) and Nicotine replacement systems - recently moved to non prescription.

Recently the FDA wanted to move the new antihistamines to non prescription status. The manufacturers objected. As soon as the drugs go non prescription they will need to cut prices since insurance won't pay anymore.
