Angel

I'm also on effexor, have been for the past year. What I find with this medication is that it is really important to take it at regularly, same time dosage etc. The side effects slowly went away for myself, except for the slowing down of my gut.

Playing around with my diet has helped this. Eating apples and other high fibre foods helps, but try really gasy ones in small amounts because they may cause pain. Drinking lots of water won't hurt. I found myself craving coffee and if I was strong enough to substitute a glass of water instead it helps.

I would like to add that I had tried many different types of ADs before I found one that worked for me. If you find that it is helping despite the side effects talk to the prescribing doctor he may be able to help you with them. (Not likely, but no harm in asking.)

BEST WISHES
Willow
