Howdy. I was on 300mg/day FXR xr for over a year & tapered off with no problems. I did taper slowly (75mg every 2 weeks) & added 20mg/day Prozac the last week. I had no noticable discontinuation problems. If you feel you are better with the FXR why stop? You might check with your doc about adding something (Wellbutrin maybe) to help with motivation.
