These are some of the sites I found as well...
Last winter, right around the time I started Depakote, the edges of my tongue turned dark. My tongue felt like I had bitten it, (but like it was swollen and sore all over) but because of the location, I would have bitten the front too if I had had a seizure and bitten my tongue....The darkness has faded, and after seeing the dentist recently, he says I am healthy...To come in next time it happens to have him look at it...That like these sites say, 'black tongue'is a 'bloom' of bacteria. I got a tongue scraper that keeps the top of my tongue cleaner. No one was concerned.
I am curious to know if anyone has seen this as a SE of Depakote? I reassured to see the posts here...once again, confirming my steadfast belief that this site is really a cross roads of information on the things that concern me. Thank you.
