Hi adamie,
Moclobemide does work differently as it is an
MAOI inhibitor. Many people who don't respond
to the re-uptake inhibitors do well on the MAOIs.
Statistically I believe that Parnate or Nardil
are a little more likely to give you a boost.
Parnate is probably unlikey to make you more
depressed (although I haven't tried it). It
supposed to have a stimulating experience.Have you tried a stimulant like Adderall? In
some cases of depression a stimulant is warranted.good luck,

> hi. I am planning to try and get this reversible MAOI prescribed to me by my new pdoc who I will be seeing soon. I have had an extremely bad experience with AD's. I have tried paxil, prozac, wellbutrin, effexor, celexa, and briefly adrafinil. All of them made my depression worse. effexor made me suicidal and same with celexa. I felt like escaping from the mental hospital since they were forcing AD's on me. I have also tried zyprexa and very briefly risperdal. With Zyprexa there is no worsening effect for me like the AD's.

Can this be a very reliable anti depressant? What are some of your experiences with this medication? Is it safe to take along with zyprexa? Please reply.
