> I will check out amilsulpride on medline.You know Sulpiride & Amisulpiride are different drugs, right? Sulpiride is a selective antagonist of D3 whereas Amisulpiride antagonizes D2 & D3 (I think I've got that right).
Some people here have had success with Amisulpride here but despite their similar pharmacological profiles, Sulp. & Amisulp. aren't necessarily interchangable since I didn't respond to the latter.
I've tried a few APs & the only other one I responded to, more positively than with Sulp. I might add, was Promazine, a weak AP used primarily as a sedative. It worked w/in 2 hrs but unacceptable side-effects made me stop.
It's odd that I should only respond to the older, weaker APs, but there you go.
