So L-tyrosine is helping with your depression? Can you share with us what dose or preparation you are taking? I am not being skeptical, just curious. I have tried 5-HTP without much success, but I didn't stick with it very long. I can't seem to ditch SSRI's, I would love to find a substitute.

Thanks for your response. I found it very interesting. It is my understanding that Clonazepam is most notorious for worsening of depression. Yes, L-tyrosine is certainly helping with my depression. For the last year it has saved my life but SP is really taking its toll.
A few secrets to my success with L-Tyrosine are that I understand the lack of catecholamines are responsible for inducing my depression, I know the thoughts that occur when I get depressed so i know when to take l-Tyrosine. Also SAM-E is essential. B Vitamins and other nutrients alone are not enough.
Im pressed for time, Sorry
