Hi there,
Anyone whose been around PB for a while will know I am having been having trouble getting over my social phobia but depression(thank,thank,thank GODX1000) remains stabilised on an amino acids of all things(L-Tyrosine). Just kidding I know theres no reason why an amino acid shouldnt be an antidepressant.Im not sure anyone noticed Id gone for a while. Dr-Bob your site just seems to get more and more popular with more and more new names appearing.

I have just recently come off Clonazepam without too much trouble. The good news is that it was damn effective, didnt worsen my depression but seem to build up tolerance to it after a few months. I know theres a lot of evidence pointing to the P450 isoenzyme system breaking down benzo's like Xanax and Klonopin real easy in the liver and the brain causing them to be less effective. So I have suggested a switch to Valium. I really do feel it was liver tolerance and not tolerance to the effects of the drug itself because I had a valium tablet and it worked. So my pdoc suggested 20mg a day may not induce liver tolerance. Anyone whose on Valium I would appreciate what dose you have found to be an effective consistent one.

Final note for this post for anyone whose yet to try meds for SP. For me Clonazepam is one heck of a lot more effective than the SSRI's I tried.
