EFFEXOR/REMERON combo?

anyone on the EffexorXR/Remeron combo? My doc has me on 225mg effexor and has told me to use Remeron 15mg , 1 hour before bedtime for sleep (very small amt). Will the Remeron help with the ANXIETY????????
