Is it gaining resitence? EFFEXOR

I increased my effexor after it ceased to work, After it was increased to 375mg I became so much better, but after 3 weeks Im going down again, and getting head dizzy things lke youi get if you forgot to take effexor. Am I gaining a resitence to it? If so what do I do continue to increase it, isnt there a level where it should not be increased anymore? or are there different drugs that might work, its just that I got so much better after a long tiring hellish time, I just want to go back
