Zyprexa works great for racing or obsessive thoughts. Some people do get a little manic on it but for the most part it causes sedation. Give it at least 2-3 weeks before giving up because the sedation does eventually settle down. You should take it after dinner and you will sleep well that night but not feel the grogginess in the morning.

Also, you should have a reduction in the racing thoughts almost immediately (1-2 Days).

Buspar is one of those meds that either works or you feel nothing. 15 mg/day is a low dose so you may want to talk to your doctor about upping it to 30 mg/day.

Good Luck,
Chris
