My pdoc says that Prozac can help with anxiety and OCD type symptoms, although in some cases it can make anxiety worse.
Good idea to start LOW -- I am med sensitive, and started at 2.5 mg. I actually cut a 10 mg. pill into quarters, but the liquid form might be easier! I stayed at 2.5 for a week or two, then went up to 5, then 7.5, and now 10. I stayed at each dose for one to two weeks.
I'm up to 10 mg now, and experience a lot of agitation and anxiety during PMS -- but I am also taking Wellbutrin (since Prozac is usually sedating for me), so I'm not sure which is the culprit. I'm going to try and drop the Wellbutrin for awhile and see what happens.
Take care.

This doesn't mean to say it won't work for you, just start slowly if you are med sensitive. (Which I am too - although had no trouble with the Paxil). I think you can get Prozac in liquid form and start as low as 2.5mg - this should help you to adjust to it before increasing dosage. Also you might want to think about taking a benzo like Xanax (if you're not already on it) to help you over the starting stage.
