I find the term meaningless and actually as harmless as any of the other lingo floating around out there. For instance, I hate the term depression. People without mental illness believe the they know what depression is. What bothers you about chemical imbalance? I think the term chemical imbalance is used as code for "physical treatment" as opposed to talk therapy.
