Wellbutrin and OTC addiction

Posted by Tony P on August 24, 2001, at 23:37:05

Has anyone any experience / knowledge to share re Wellbutrin in treating addiction to over-the-counter drugs? I know it's been used for stopping smoking, but haven't seen much so far about help with other drugs.

I just started today on Wellbutrin after 6 years on Serzone. The latter worked wonderfully for me for several years, but I seemed to be reaching a point of diminishing returns. Part of my problem is an off-and-on addiction to Robaxin, the muscle relaxant. My doc & I are hoping that the Wellbutrin will both improve my depression ("kick-start" was the word he used) and reduce my desire to self-medicate.
