Jason - Are you using any psychotherapeutic interventions for your social phobia? In many cases, cognitive/behavioral treatments (exposure, cognitive restructuring, relaxation training, etc.) work better than medication for social phobia. There is some evidence that the combination of psychotherapy and medication may be more effective than either alone. I have found that psychotherapy is an important part of the treatment of social phobia.
As for the depression, it may disappear once you get the social phobia under control. If it doesn't Manerix (moclobemide - if you are in Canada) or desipramine (Norpramin) may be choices. Ask your doctor about this.
